The Columbia Science Of LEarning Research (SOLER) initiative aspires to become a vibrant hub for cross disciplinary research at Columbia that we hope will make invaluable contributions to advance the scholarship of teaching and learning.
SOLER will draw faculty and researchers from various Columbia schools, departments and institutes, including:
- Division of Natural Sciences
- Computer Science
- Business School
- Data Science Institute
- Zuckerman Mind Brain & Behavior Institute
- Teachers College
- as well as faculty and researchers from other Columbia departments and schools
SOLER will be supported by new and existing resources, and will be housed in the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (VPTL) and the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). We will collaborate closely with colleagues from the IRB office, Research Training and Compliance (leveraging resources such as the Research and Data Integrity (ReaDI) program and protocol), and the Office of General Counsel.
